Few EMACS hacks

With emacs u can keep on discovering new things that can help you to increase your productivity. some stuff discovered during last week …

+ Copying from EMACS to GNOME Applications

In your .emacs -> (setq x-select-enable-clipboard t)

+ Display buffer/filename on the title bar

In you .emacs (setq frame-title-format “emacs – %b”) . %f for filename

+ Using/Creating multiple instances of shell within emacs

Launch shell and rename it using “M-x rename-uniquely” (or anything). When you again “M-x shell” u’ll get a new instance.

I’m a emacs noob šŸ™‚

  1. use “M-x eshell” I personally prefer the eshell to shell.
